I've done three ...Thanks so much for this post. I've done three R & Rs that "failed". I've learned from each one but it's nice to get an agent's perspective on the possible reasons behind it. Neither was she… But now I've recognized that her vision for the book was very different to my own, I'm confident I can make the best changes possible to the book and stay true to my own vision at the same time. At least, I hope so….Kate Larkindalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06202347563426692610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2965176195649202077.post-47830485181261714362015-02-12T13:58:20.479-08:002015-02-12T13:58:20.479-08:00Yes, I think that is another possibility; an agent...Yes, I think that is another possibility; an agent may be on the fence, seeing potential, and even after a revision, just realize it's not there or can get there, and pass.Natalie Lakosilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07381280989103788917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2965176195649202077.post-51941464729193549272015-02-12T13:09:39.754-08:002015-02-12T13:09:39.754-08:00One of the best posts I've seen on the subject...One of the best posts I've seen on the subject, having received a handful of r&rs myself. I've seen some published books that probably could've used a R&R but they really draw you in anyway. Still, I think an R&R request should make the writer feel good. At least someone is connecting with the MS on some level, which doesn't always happen. I'm working on my last revision on an old manuscript. If it doesn't work out this time, it's going in the drawer! Bess V.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00074684875584306845noreply@blogger.com
