Whoops

So I realized I haven't posted anything in a while now. Which means not only am I woefully behind in reading, twittering, and email...I'm also woefully behind in blogging.

Let's just say that last week, I looked at my calendar, spit out my wine and said:

"Oh SHNIZER! I'm getting married in FOUR MONTHS!"

And a flurry of appointments, panic-moments, and frantic organizing began.

And then Easter happened.

And then my phone went kaput.

And then a meteor crashed into my bedroom and turtles started dancing and flowers were somewhere over there and the old spice man was at my door with apples and oranges and...

Well. Enough excuses. Please accept this picture of my cat as an apology:

Or stay tuned for a LOAD of upcoming AWESOMENESS, including:

-a post on how to write and perfect your hook (logline/elevator pitch)
-a VERY inspiting guest post by the lovely Agent Laura Bradford
-possibly...the news on when I'm re-opening to submissions...(yes, it has been decided...but not announced...)

  3. YAY! Love reading your posts--and seriously, I think your cat is my cat's twin. Except mine is mean and refuses to wear a collar...

  4. Very cute cat! You misspelled "inspiring" though...just sayin' :)

That being said, I'm looking forward to Ms. Bradford’s post. I started following her on Twitter and she is quite funny. Some of her tweets make me chuckle.

  5. A kitty with a rose? All is forgiven :) Not that there's anything to forgive. I think your "excuses" are quite legitimate. Especially the Old Spice guy. How can you *not* be distracted by him? ;)

  6. Oh man, you got the Old Spice guy at your door? Lucky! I love the cat and I love the chair. Good luck with all the wedding plans. I'm excited for the upcoming events on your blog.

  7. You know, I've been dying to find out what makes turtles dance. Can I borrow you're meteor?

Good luck with the wedding plans. My social life died a quick death in the months leading up to my wedding. Sorry in advance for when you have to do table arrangements. :)

  8. After two weddings (I'm ashamed to say!) I've found no matter what, the last couple of weeks are going to be a flurry of activity. But the great thing about a wedding is you end up being able to share your day with the people you care most about in the world. THAT is the best part of a wedding and, in the end, it doesn't really matter what the cake tastes like or what music is played...because having those people all together like that is what you'll always cherish. (Okay, I learned most of that with my first wedding!)

  9. Ray - I KNOW, I caught that later and for some reason, decided nah, I'll leave it.. >_<

Tracey - I'm doing table arrangements right now. It is by far the most time consuming thing...

  10. I know exactly how you feel. Summer starts in a little over two months, and I have a trillion things to do before then. A math grade that needs to be saved, an APUSH exam in a week from Friday, a week of Outdoor School to attend, revisions to get in, writing to do, blogging to maintain. It's just a busy time of year for us all.

  12. Aww, love the kitty! And I'm with Tracy. I want to borrow your meteor. I don't know if I'd want the Old Spice dude. Maybe the Irish Spring guy or Josh Groban or Michael Buble. (shucks, he just got married).

Have fun with the wedding plans and congrats! Be thankful you aren't a princess bride (or are you?) *wink*.

I'm looking forward to all your new and exciting posts.

  13. Congrats, have fun with your wedding plans! I hope they come out exactly the way you want them to ~ :) I do know how busy you've been! Caught several of your sessions at Pike's Peak this weekend and learned alot! Forgive my chicken-liver ways... I would have liked to talk to you face-to-face, but my nerves still get the best of me sometimes. Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your sessions. And kind of wish I had a steampumk novel with princesses in it to pitch to you. :)

  14. That cat is adorable!

Also, the Pre-Wedding Panic experience just happened to my best friend, who is getting married this June. There was a moment where the short time frame dawned on her, and her eyes got large -- and we frantically tried to tackle what's left of her wedding to-do list.

I'm looking forward to your posts! ~Ali
